One of the guys

I hang out with some ridiculously good-looking boys. I mean, ask any of my girlfriends – these boys are stop-you-on-the-street attractive. But even better than that they are wonderful, godly, hilarious, deep men that I am proud to call friends.

I have to be honest though, sometimes I get this prideful grin on my face when I am out with them because I know the looks I am getting – I know that girls are envious because they wish they were in the presence of such greatness. But then when I really stop to think about it…I don’t think I should be so prideful. These guys are actually really hurting my game. They are acting as one giant cock block.

It would be easy for anyone observing us to assume that I am with one of them, and that would be a logical assumption to make. And what guy in their right mind is going to come up and talk to me or ask for my number when I am surrounded by these fine men? You’ve got to be all sorts of bold I’ve never seen before. I think I need to stop hanging out with them so much – besides, I am “one of the guys” so some of the conversations I’m overhearing I could go my whole life without knowing ☺

I like this because you rarely post personal photos. :)

When I lived in Orlando my main friend base was a group of guys. So I understand your "pain".

I loved hanging out with them because they offered a different (and often simpler...but not in a bad way!) perspective on situations.

BUT, nothing beats the girl's night conversations. :)

I agree... with michi. These guys are hurting the Yeti's game. I'm sure they're great guys and all, but she needs to cut them loose.

I have an amazing friend who I spend time with, but I never considered I was doing her an injustice. Yet, we all know I am totally clueless.

Here's to you Yeti and your quest for freedom.

I can relate. I was recently out to lunch with 3 guys who look remarkably similar to those in your photograph. Typically, the girls look on with envy and the guys steer clear. So that's what I've been doing wrong!

One Giant Cock Block should be the new name of this site. Just kidding! But I am going to try to work that phrase into a conversation today. I love you!

I am curious if you will find that people found your blog with some very different searches in the next few days! hehe

Thanks for all the sympathy and understanding, ladies.

And Konigsmark...don't feel too bad for me. I'm not trying too hard to cut the loose.

e: i know EXACTLY who you were talking about :)

kelley...my friends have been told to stay away from you punishable by death.

robin, I do not actually think you are far off...or so people tell me! Why do you think apple ran so far away ;-) Oh wait, we decided it was because I am TOO GREAT!

Mystic, HAAH! I bet you are right, didn't even think of that. I will be sure to report!

on the flip side, when you do start dating someone, it is incredible to see how protective these guy friends can be. it's never a bad thing to have that kind of support on your side.

Very good point, Wendy. These boys are wonderfully protective :) I'll never date anyone (or at least anyone good enough!)

Get rid of 'em. If there are giant cocks around, you don't need them blocked.

What?

why don't you just turn one of these best friends into something more :)... that's gotta be the best kind of relationship anyway.... the best friend boyfriend :)
