snoring
Do you think it would be rude to ask someone if they snore on a first date? Because I am a really light sleeper and it might be better just to cut my losses up front...

I think if you ask that question on a first date the guy will assume that you want to sleep with him on the first date. I also think that if their entire dateability rests on snoring that you are being a little too picky. You can learn to sleep through snoring.
too picky... that's basically saying that even if a man was the most amazing man you ever met, good looking, great personality, everything you're looking for and more... except he snores? it's no deal?
also, people lie about that sort of stuff and/or don't know if they REALLY do.
Not a deal breaker. It will just happen let me tell you, your body changes as you get older and you may not snore now, but some day you will and so will your significant other:)
Go ahead, ask, but know that I'd be coming right back at ya with either snark or a provocatively absurd question.
... and I've dated a women that snored. You get used to it, for the most part. But I'm not gonna lie, there were times I gently nudged her so she'd wake up, thereby giving me a good 5 minutes to fall asleep.

on the other hand, i do value my sleep. ..
To be honest I'd never date a girl that snores. Just not worth it. I'd rather live alone.
i think liz lemmon said it best:
